Teachers Required in Punjab 2025 – Directorate General of Literacy & Non-Formal Basic Education
Introduction
The Government of Punjab, through the Directorate General of Literacy & Non-Formal Basic Education (L&NFBE), has announced vacancies for Potential Teachers under Phase-II of the “Establishment of Adult Literacy Centers in Punjab” project.
This initiative, launched under the Read, Write, Thrive campaign, aims to enhance literacy rates across 36 districts of Punjab by providing adults with quality education through community-based learning centers.
Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the Teacher Registration Program, candidates must meet the following eligibility requirements:

Terms and Conditions
- The appointment will be part-time / time-bound / honorary / contract-based for 6 months (non-extendable).
- The selected teacher must arrange one suitable room for establishing the Adult Literacy Center in coordination with the local Literacy Mobilizer.
- Application Deadline: 18 October 2025 (Saturday) — late or hand-submitted applications will not be accepted.
- Selected teachers will be responsible for educating 25–30 illiterate learners (age 16+) and maintaining their records on the NFEMIS portal.
